Driving Directions to Recreo Costa Rica
For guests preferring to drive, directions from the Liberia Airport to Recreo are as follows:
1. When leaving the airport, take a left onto the highway.
2. Stay straight until the main intersection in Liberia. (Jumbo market on the right, Burger King on the left)
3. Make the left at Burger King.
4. Stay on that road straight for about 45 minutes until you get to La Cruz. As you drive into La Cruz, the police station and clinic are on your right. Turn LEFT just before the large gas station.
5. Take that road straight and follow the curve to the right. You will pass two grocery stores next to each other on your right.
6. Take a LEFT at the next 4-way intersection. The La Cruz Park will be on the left.
7. Take that road straight out of town. Drive down a hill and the water is visible in the distance to the right. The road will transition to a dirt road after a few miles.
8. Take the road to El Jobo. (There are a few places where the road forks off but keep to the right.)
9. When you reach El Jobo drive straight into town. Pass a red convenience store on the left.
10. Take the next right. The road goes either straight or right; there is a small police station on the left once you turn.
11. Take that road about 1 mile out of town and Recreo will be on your right. Our entrance is visible with the fences, pink flowers and a wooden gate. After you enter through the gate, parking is available in front of the Welcome Center. If you reach the beach you went too far.
